An Interview With 'It'sLittleLauren'

So my new series is finally here and I'm so excited to present to you angels my interview with Lauren. @ItsLittleLauren is her Instagram and if you haven't already - CHECK HER OUT or you'll be missing out!

Her photo's are honestly so beautiful, she inspires me and cheers me up on the daily.

She also has a blog where you can get to know her on a more personal level and see what she gets up to (she would be the queen of The Great British Bake-Off so watch with caution if you have a sweet tooth!)

At this point we're both pretending that we are sat in a cafe doing this interview over tea and cake!

How old are you and where are you based?
I live in Leicestershire and I'm 20 (Although 21 in a couple of weeks)When did you start your Blog?
I started my blog in June 2014, I can't believe it's been that long!

Is that the same as your Instagram?
I've had Instagram for longer but before I started my blog it was literally just family photos with friends etc. So far from 'Instagram'.

What got you started on social media and do you have any goals or targets you would like to hit in regards to your following?
When I first started blogging I was really unwell and didn't get to leave the house much, so really, it was just something there to break the boredom/make new friends as I was pretty isolated.
As for following, goals and targets, I've learn't that not focusing on numbers too much works wonders when it comes to how much you actually enjoy Blogging/Instagram! The damn algorithm apparently hates me so I'm kinda going with the flow now!

Where does the inspiration from your pictures come from?
Hmm that's a tough one, I tend to just take photo's of the things I love (erm food) so not too much inspiration behind them! I do like having a good Pinterest stalk though.

Do you have any goals/plans for your future?
I'd absolutely LOVE to start up a cake business from home one day, and it's always been a dream of mine to write a feature/column in a magazine. Hopefully one day that'll happen!
*It will happen, Lauren is so damn talented that she could make a cake for the royals!*

Take me through an average day in the life of lauren..
An average day in the life of me? Well... three words: really rather dull. I feel my life looks A LOT more interesting on Instagram! A working day i'll take loads of photos, boring admin tasks, emails ETC! Or more often than not I'll feel too unwell to do a single thing and ill have to spend the entire day trying not to faint. (Thanks M.E)
*For those who don't know Lauren has an illness called Myalgic Encephalomyalitis, you can read her person blog post on it here. It's incredibly inspiring and really shows how much of an amazing individual she is.

That actually brings me onto my next question;
Dealing with ME on a daily basis is something I couldn't even imagine going through and even though social media can be a huge cover up, you spread so much positivity to others. Do you have any advice for others suffering with an illness that affects their daily lives?
Oh i SO wish that I did have a piece of really useful advice, truthfully? I've been really struggling to cope with it at the moment! But the one thing I've learn't from that is: never EVER bottle things up, it's okay not to be okay!

I then threw some quick fire questions at Lauren;

Sweet Or Savoury?
Ahhhh how can I choose?!? I go through phases but at the moment i'd have to go for savoury!
Cookies Or Cupcakes?
Don't hate me everyone, but cookies (Yes, there is such a thing as making too many cupcakes!)
Summer or Winter?
Summer without a doubt, my all time favourite season! Such a sun worshipper.

Where are your favourite places to shop? Clothing/Home-ware?
For clothes I'd have to say River Island, Miss Pap & Primark (Primark have really upped their game and I LOVE it)
As for home-ware I could go on all day 'cause home-ware shopping over clothes shopping anydayyy! SO I'll keep it short; The Range, Dunelm & Next Home!
*We would honestly be dangerous together, too many similarities and favourites = partners in crime and damage to the bank accounts*

What movie could you NEVER get bored of?
Such a typical girl response buttt, DIRTY DANCING! I must have watched it at least 20 times, and I know all of the words, but it's still my favourite!

*Both Fussing over Patrick Swayze*

Not gonna lie, I cry now when he does the lift with baby because he's dead and it makes me sad!
(Don't we all!)

Something you couldn't live without?
I couldn't live without my mum, shes my absolute best friend and we do everything together! I'd be completely lost without her!

Who else do you recommend for me to interview that inspires you?
Oh you've got to interview Meg (@MegSays_) she's the biggest babe EVER with the best personality, and the reason I started my blog in the first place!

I honestly had so much fun interviewing Lauren, she's so down to earth, honest and inspiring. Please take the time to head over to her social media pages and show some love because she really does deserve it. She might even give you free cupcakes and wine!
