6 Tooth Whitening Tips & Tricks.

Let's face it, we all want those pearly whites that we see on the TV but how do we get them?
Here are a few ways that I have found effective and easy;

- Lemon + Baking Soda
Use part Lemon Juice with some Baking Soda and mix into a paste, apply to toothbrush and brush for 5 minutes, or you can apply and leave it on until you see results. Always remember to swill mouth with water after doing this process to eliminate citric acid and reduce damage.

Doing this once or twice a week will help brighten and giving you a glowing smile!

- Drinking Lemon Water
Adding slices of Lemon to your water will help brighten your teeth, it's also high in vitamin C so you can't go wrong adding this to your diet!

- Reduce stained drink intake
Eg, Coffee, Tea or Fizzy Pops however, if you are a coffee addict like me, drink them through a straw, this will help eliminate the chances of them leaving stains on your teeth.

- Wait 30 minutes after eating before you brush
Food can contain acid that will soften the enamal and brushing to soon will cause damage, leaving a 30 minute gap helps the tooth to restrengthen and again, by drinking water after your meal, this will help to remove those acids quicker.

- Strawberries and Apples
Both of these fruits contain Malic Acid which help remove and prevent stains, you can use them in the same method as the Lemon and Baking Soda - making a paste, or simple take slices of each fruit and rub them on your teeth, repeating this method weekly will help to brighten and whiten. Again remember to swill mouth with water after to reduce damage.

- Use toothpaste that contains Bi-Carbonate Soda
This again helps to clean, brighten and remove stains, most whitening toothpastes will contain this and you can use twice a day, so you will see quicker results. Also, you can look at trying whiten strips, these will help to get rid of those nasty stains and give you that bright smile you've been looking for!

I hope these help and you start seeing results, be patient as you won't get perfect result overnight :)
