Skin Care Routine - Winter 2015

I can honesty say up until now I've never had a solid skincare routine, nor found the perfect products to match my skin or give me the look that I desired. Since I've starting working at Lush and been provided the correct skin care training I was able to identify what my skin needed as well as how to achieve the look I wanted. The skin I wanted to achieve was clear and matte. All the products below are what is suited to my skin, everyone's skin varies but I will talk about a few of my favourites in a little more detail than others as they are more suited for acne prone skin.

So to begin with I always cleanse my face, whether it's the first thing in the morning or last thing at night, both routines are the same. My skin type is very oily and I'm prone to breakouts so cleansers help to remove excess dirt and oil from the face and are especially good for removing all the make up you think the face wipe removed but actually left clogged in your poors - which cause blackheads and spots! I use one oil based cleanser day and night and a fresh cleanser 3 times a week. I have listed the products below in the order I use them in my routine.

Oil Based Cleansers
9-5 is my quick cleanser, if I've woken up late or want something quick and easy I will use this, It's very light but also very effective. It contains Neroli oil which gives it's beautiful scent and also releases serotonin. which is the happy hormone, so it's a really nice cleanser to use in the morning.
£5.10 (95g)

Ultrabland is the ultimate cleanser, even removing the waterproof mascara that you never seem to be able to get off, it's thicker on the skin and contains beeswax which immediately clings to all the dirt or make up etc on the skin. It also contains honey which helps to draw moisture to the skin, and is also anti-bacterial then rose water which helps to reduce any redness, it's definitely an all rounder and can be used on all skin types.

Fresh Cleansers
Dark Angels I find has been a miracle worker on my skin and I've not found anything that compares. To begin with it has black sugar and charcoal to really ex-foliate the skin and you can really feel that your skin has had a good scrub. It also contains avocado oil which helps to moisturise and soften so your skin isn't left feeling dry. Sandalwood and rosewood oils helps to cool the skin and are also antiseptic so they really help to battle breakouts and acne prone skin.
£6.75 (100g)

Full of Grace is the first thing I apply to my skin before anything else, it contains micro-butters which cling to the ingredients of other products and draw them in to the dermis, which really helps feed the skin all the good ingredients. It also contains chamomile blue oil which is very calming so great for sensitive skin. It can be used on all skin types! £8.25 (20g)

Face Masks
Cranberry A super hydrating face mask which contains Cranberries, these are packed with anti-oxidants and help to detoxify the skin, Argan Oil help rejuvenate and soften the skin as well as Fresh Fennel to help cleanse and brighten. I am absolutely in love with this face mask, it glides onto the skin just like icing and smells so uplifting and beautiful. - £6.75 (75g)

Face & Body Masks
Mask of Magnaminity Mask I can honestly say this product is a life saver for those who have over oily or acne prone skin! It contains honey, which is anti-septic and helps to fight bacteria. Peppermint Oil, which cools the skin and leaves it feeling refreshed. Fair Trade Vanilla which is also anti-septic and full of vitamins. It's such a beautiful product and it smells like mint chocolate! I would honestly recommend trying this product out, noce you see results you'll fall in love. - £5.50 (125g)

Cup O' Coffee For those of you who are coffee obsessed, struggle to feel awake in the mornings, and need to feel energised, this is the perfect product for you. Pop it on before you get into the bath/shower, and you'll come out feeling alive! Vanishing Cream This moisturiser is so beautiful, light and gentle on the skin. Lavender-Honey Water is Anti-Septic and Anti-Inflammatory helping sensitive or irritated skin. Rose Water also helps to calm, soothe and reduce redness. This moisturiser honestly contains some really beautiful ingredients to help repair the skin. They have also added Cold Pressed Grapeseed Oil, this helps to repair and leave the skin with a matte finish! - £18.75 (45g)

Enzymion - I love this product on days where my skin is feeling dull and I want it to feel hydrated and glowing. There's lots of lovely fruits like Organic Lemon and Papaya to help brighten and degrease as my skin is very oily, they are also packed with Vitamins and Anti-Oxidant. Aloe Vera Gel cools the skin and Avocado Oil with Cocoa Butter help to keep the skin feeling soft.
It's a light moisturiser and great if you love a matte finish. - £14.50 (45g)

Magical Moringa - I've saved my favourite product for the end, this moisturiser is honestly one of the most amazing products I have ever bought. As I said before I love my skin to feel soft and mattified, and I really struggle to find a moisturiser and a primer that go together well, without making my make-up patchy. If you have the same problem you need to try Magical Moringa. It's a 2 in 1 moisturiser/primer that leaves the most soft, matte feeling on the skin and make-up honest glides over it and stays even all day.
They've packed it with lots of beautiful oils such as; Argan Oil, Moringa Oil, Rosewood Oil, Sandalwood Oil and many more, these have so many properties that help to soften, reduce redness, fight bacteria and detoxify. When people see how many oils are used they fear it is going to make their skin oily, but they've added cornflour which absorbs all the excess oil and creates a beautiful soft layer on the skin, mattifying and making it make-up ready.
I can't preach how much I'm in love with this product and it is 100% worth the money. - £28.00 (45g)
